From Empty Fields to Feeding Hundreds: Our Agricultural Project is Growing
For years, Mighty Orphans Ministry relied entirely on periodic donations to fund feeding programs for orphaned children and elderly beneficiaries. While deeply grateful for every gift, we knew this model was fragile. One slow season could mean empty plates.
That is why we launched our Homestead & Agricultural Empowerment Program — a long-term initiative to develop sustainable farming land, establish greenhouse gardens, rear livestock, and create recurring income that funds the ministry year-round.
So far, the project has begun developing farming plots for crop cultivation, initiated a poultry program to improve nutrition and generate income, and started planning for a greenhouse garden that will provide vegetables throughout the dry season.
Beyond food production, the project is already creating something deeper — dignity and self-reliance. Elderly caregivers and widows who once depended entirely on donations are now learning practical farming skills, tending their own kitchen gardens, and contributing to a shared community food supply.
We believe that the most powerful form of charity is one that eventually makes itself unnecessary. This project is our commitment to that vision.
We still need your support to fully establish the irrigation system, expand the poultry program, and build our agricultural training center. Every contribution — large or small — moves us one step closer to a self-sustaining community.
